The Way to deliverance the implementation of all of the previous steps in God's plan for the redemption of man. It is the culmination of all of the pervious steps toward the end being overcoming the world and enter into the kingdom life.
Yet again however, just as was with salvation, this is only the first step in our new lives as the children of God and dwellers of the kingdom!
By this time we have repented, received our salvation, been spiritually regenerated, submitted to the Lordship of Christ Jesus and have begun transformation into His image and likeness.
This is the part of the process where we truly begin to live by faith. We are no longer of the world and we are about to overcome it. Deliverance means that not only are we no longer of the world but that we are no longer in the world. That we are transending it.
(Eph 2:4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
(Eph 2:5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
(Eph 2:6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
The word "hath" means it has been done, it is a finished work and in context with these verses it means that when Jesus was raised from the dead we were raised from the dead . It means that now, in the present, we are seated in heavenly places with Him because we are "in" Him.
How can this be? Are we not still alive and living on earth?
(1Jn 4:15) Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
(1Jn 4:16) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
(1Jn 4:17) Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
Naturally when we overcome the world we do so spiritually not physically and albeit we are living on the earth in our physical bodies we are also present in the heavens spiritually because we are IN HIM and that is where Jesus is.
AS HE IS SO ARE WE in this world (kosmos)!
This is a spiritual truth, a spiritual reality that not many truly receive (take hold of) in this life. That is why our Lord proclaimed:
(Mat 7:14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The primary reason that few find it is because they have not followed the plan. They have not walked the narrow way.
You see this is God's formula not mine. I didn't make it up. I didn't create it out of thin air. The word of God says what it says weather we like it or not, weather we agree with it or not, weather it makes sense to us or not, it says what it says and it is what it is.
This is the way and the truth that leads to the life. This is the way that will transform us into the children of light (truth), the children of God. This is the way that makes us kingdom dwellers and heirs to all that is within it.
There is no other way!
All who enter into the sheep-fold any other way are thieves and liars (John 10:1).
You see brothers and sisters there is no easy way to overcome the world and enter into the kingdom life. There is no easy Christianity!
There is only a long road and a short road. The long road is the wide road that leads to destruction. That is to say that we can go off of the path from time to time and return, but that is the long way. The short way is to find the narrow path and stay on it.
You see this race is not about speed it is about endurance. Once we find the right path, once we find the wisdom and knowledge of God, we need to keep them and do them till the end!
(Mat 24:10) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
(Mat 24:11) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
(Mat 24:12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
(Mat 24:13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
(1Co 9:24) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
(1Co 9:25) And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
(1Co 9:26) I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
(1Co 9:27) But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
