Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. (Isa 42:9)
The Restoration Of Man
Some 700 years before the birth of our Lord the Father spoke through His prophet Isaiah and declared that former things ARE come to pass and new things He did (do) declare.

(Isa 42:13)  The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.

(Isa 42:14)  I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

(Isa 42:15)  I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

(Isa 42:16)  And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.
These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

The prophet speaks of the Lord coming as a mighty man who will give sight to the blind,  show them a way that they knew not,  put them on paths that they have not known, make darkness light before them, and make crooked things straight! Glory to God, hallelujah!

Did you know that there are some 350 old testaments which speak about our Lord that were fulfilled by Jesus Christ?

Did you know that the probability that Jesus of Nazareth could have fulfilled even eight such prophecies would be 1 in 1017.  That's 1 in 100, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 and that is just eight prophecies.  Even in today's age of super computers the odds of Jesus fulfilling 350 prophecies is incalculable.

Yet it did happen because nothing is imposable for God!

Therefore when God says He is going to do a new thing you can take it to the bank that it will come to pass and Isaiah 42 has come to pass through Jesus Christ and God even said how He was going to do it:
(Eze 36:22)  Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

(Eze 36:23)  And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

(Eze 36:24)  For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(Eze 36:25)
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

(Eze 36:26)  A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

(Eze 36:27)
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
The first thing that we must understand about this prophecy is that Israel is being spoken of both literally and allegorically here because these verses are also applicable to the spiritual Israel, the body of Christ.

Has Israel been taken from among the heathen?  Have they been gathered out of all countries?  Have they been brought into their own land, the land promised to their fathers?  Yes They Have!

Have they however been sprinkled with clean water?  No!

Have they been cleansed from their idols (their customs and traditions)?  No!

Have they had their hearts of stone removed? No!  (they have not repented of their ways)

Have they had new hearts of flesh put into them? No!  (they have not received the Word of Truth)

So who are these people?
Those who have have been given new spirits and in whom God has placed His Holy Spirit, to cause them to walk in His statutes, keep His judgments and do them. Born again believers in Jesus Christ!

Why did God do this thing?
To sanctify His great name for His holy name's sake because the house of Israel had profaned it in the midst of the heathens (Greeks, Romans and other Gentiles) when His name should have been should have been sanctified (made holy) in the eyes of the heathens through Israel.

Therefore it is the born again Spirit filled Christians who are the Spiritual house of Israel!

Now this is not to say that God is by any means finished with His chosen people because He has made promises to them that have yet to be fulfilled.  But we can see that many Jewish people are having their eyes opened and they are coming to Christ.

The born again believer however has already been made into a NEW creation who lives under a NEW covenant that can not be broken because unlike the former covenant, that was made between God and man, this covenant has been made between God and Himself (Jesus the Christ).

The born again believer is no longer at enmity with the Father and can now, through our advocate and intercessor Jesus Christ, once again have a real personal relationship with Him just as Adam and Eve did before the fall!

Many people believe when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden they died spiritually.  That is that their spirit's had literally and actually perished.

I believe that spiritual death is literally spiritual separation from God and not death as we see it.

Therefore I believe that when the transgression took place that the Holy Spirit withdrew from man he lost his spiritual life insomuch as he no longer had a God consciousness, a consciousness of sin, Godly intuition or a sense of purpose in life.
I believe that Adam and Eve had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit just as born again believers have today.

I also believe that when God's Spirit left man he no longer had unity with God.  That he was shut off from the source of the spiritual life just as Adam and Eve were shut off from the Tree of Life after their fall from grace.

I do not state this as a matter of fact because there is nothing within scriptures that I am aware of which conferm or deny my belief.
Whether the spiritual death of man was literal of allegorical the end result was the same.  Man no longer had fellowship with God as he did when he was created and made.  His spiritual senses were gone and only his natural senses remained.

Subsequently man could only experience that which existed within the natural realm.  Man now only possessed a soulish (natural or carnal) mind and had to rely on his own understanding.  Man consequently became self centered rather than God centered.  He also became ruled by his emotions and could only do things through his natural gifts.

The worst part of it all is because man could no longer serve God in the way that He desired to be served, he began to serve Him out of his own logic and wisdom, which needless to say was influanced by the Prince of the natural world and not what God desired.
In the beginning God said:

"Let us make man in our image and after our likeness (Gen 1:21-26)  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (v.27) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (2:7)."

As we know, God (
ֱלֹהִים - 'ĕlôhı̂ym) is a tripartite being, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We also know that man is likewise a tripartite being, spirit, soul, and body.

This is how man is in the in the image and likeness of God, that we were created as the Godhead in three persons or three parts of one whole being.

Carnal Christianity is a cancer that is eating away at the very core of the Christian life and like all cancers it spreads throughout the body killing everything in it's path.

Within this section we will take a close look at carnality within the church.  We will examine what scriptures have to say about the battle between the flesh and the spirit, the battle between the carnal and renewed mind, the deception of carnality, the carnal nature of man, the spiritual nature of the born again believer, and how all of this impacts the body of Christ in terms of discipleship and the furthering of the kingdom of God on earth.

If anyone will receive what is going to be said here, if anyone has the humility to look at themselves in the light of what will be written here, if anyone takes the information and applies it to their lives, I can all but guarantee that your life will be changed forever just as mine has been.  In Jesus name I pray.

Man In The Likeness of God
(Joh 17:21)  That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

(Joh 17:22)  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

(Joh 17:23)
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
The Soul is the seat of emotions, desires, reason and thoughts.  It is where we can find the mind, will and personally.  The soul is basically the very essence of who we are as individual beings.  Therefore, in relation to the Godhead (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, it might be said that the Father is the Soul of the trinity.  It is His thoughts, His intellect, His emotions, His desires and His will which govern the Son.

The Body is that part which connects us with the natural realm through natural senses.  The body's composition is of natural materials because God formed man from the dust of the ground.  Jesus therefore is the body of the Godhead because He became the Son of Man who was born of woman and came into the world in the form of sinful flesh.

The Spirit is that part of the Godhead through which the power of God flows.  That is to say that the Holy Spirit is the conduit that the power flows through.  The Son is the Word of God.  When God wants to say something the Son speaks what the Father wants to say.  When God wants to do something the Son speaks it and the Holy Spirit does it.

Here are a few things that the Holy Spirit does at the command of the Father through the Son:

* The Spirit regenerates us (John 3:5-8; Titus 3:5).
* The Spirit sanctifies us (2 Thess. 2:13; 1 Pet. 1:2; Rom. 5:16).
* The Spirit empowers us (Luke 4:14; 24:49; Rom. 15:19; Acts 1:8).
* The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts and manifestations (the out-shining) of His presence to and through the body (1 Cor.     12:4, 8-10; Heb. 2:4).
* The Spirit anoints us for ministry (Luke 4:18; Acts 10:38).
* The Spirit  washes and renews us (Titus 3:5).
* The Spirit quickens our mortal bodies (Rom. 8:11).
* The Spirit speaks to, in, and through us (1 Cor. 12:3; 1 Tim. 4:1; Rev. 2:11; Heb 3:7; Matt. 10:20; Acts 2:4; 8:29; 10:19; 11:12, 28; 13:2; 16:6,7;          21:4,11).
* The Spirit transforms us into the image of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18).
* The Spirit gives us access to God the Father (Eph. 2:18).
* The Spirit enables us to obey the truth (1 Pet. 1:22).

There are MANY more things within scriptures which speak of what the Holy Sprit does but I believe you get the idea here.

Therefore the Holy Spirit regenerates our spirit when we become born again and megres with our spirit making us one in spirit with HIm.
